Alaska Company is an outdoor sporting goods, fishing, bait, camping, housewares, and gift store featuring Alaskan-based businesses. It is the brainchild of Julie Hunt, an Alaskan native who transplanted to Connecticut over twenty-years ago. Alaska Company is a beautifully curated store, replete with a “penny” candy counter and locally roasted coffee inspired by the hearty brews one finds in Alaska. While Alaska Company is brand-new (they just opened their doors in August 2024), Julie is a seasoned business owner. Her salon, Jules Salon, is located at 750 Straits Turnpike in Watertown.
