Roxbury

Roxbury was originally settled in 1713 and incorporated in 1796. Today it is known as an artists’ enclave, but minerals and mining have been part of its history since the mid-1700’s. Granite from its quarries helped build the Brooklyn Bridge and Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
