Morris
Morris was originally settled in 1723 as part of the town of Litchfield referred to as “South Farms”. It was incorporated in 1859 and named after James Morris, an officer in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War born and raised in South Farms. Morris encompasses the majority of Bantam Lake, the largest natural lake in Connecticut.
